Detailed Itinerary
Starting from your hotel at 7.30 am, this tour takes you through the Khmer countryside to the holy Kulen mountain range, site of the lost city of Mahendraparvata from over 1200 years ago. The route up the mountain offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscape and once your vehicle reaches the top of the steep dirt road, you will be rewarded by stunning vistas from the mountain's summit.

The tour continues on to the river of a thousand lingas, where you can view the many carvings in the riverbed. A walk through the forest leads to the site of a large reclining Buddha carved in the rockface, as well as a beautiful waterfall in which many more carvings can be discovered. Swimming in the water is popular among the locals, so bring your bathing suit if you feel like taking a dip. A picnic lunch will be provided, allowing you to relax and experience the peaceful setting at your leisure.

In the afternoon you will continue to Beng Melea, where your experienced guide will explain the history of this 12th century site as you make your way through one of the most remote and un-touched Angkor temples. Overgrown by the jungle, this is an enthralling place to explore and, as it is away from the main temple areas, remains relatively un-crowded.

The tour should return you to your hotel around 5.30-6pm.
